
Die Möbel der Mächtigen - Meisterwerke der Schreinerkunst und ihre Besitzer (2019)
In 2019, the special exhibition dedicated to princely furniture and the people to whom it once belonged. In the late 18th century, valuable secretaries, decorative tables, and seating furniture were not just objects of daily use, but also objects of art that revealed a lot about their owners and their social position.
As part of the special exhibition, Schloss Fasanerie showed works by prince-bishops as well as masterpieces of Hessian and German furniture, which were once commissioned by the electors of Hesse.

Landgräfin Anna von Hessen - Leben im Schloss Fasanerie (2018)
To mark the 100th anniversary of the death of Countess Anna, the Hesse Cultural Foundation dedicated an extensive special exhibition to the last resident of Schloss Fasanerie. Landgrave Anna was a multifaceted personality and not only had to deal with many political blows of fate, but also numerous private challenges. The exhibition used paintings, busts and works of art as well as letters and photographs to draw a detailed picture of this special woman.

Höfische Jagd in Hessen (2017)
The special exhibition "Court Hunting in Hesse" illustrated the great importance that hunting events in the 17th to 19th centuries had in art and cultural history. On the basis of six historical hunting events in Hesse the visitor got to know different types of hunting and was able to admire elaborately decorated hunting crossbows, historical wheel lock shotguns, powder bottles made of ivory, filigree dog whistles and hunting tankards with gold painting.

The "prince painters" were famous at the time for the harmonization of facial features and an idealization of the portrayed person. The House of Hesse preserves excellent originals of these artists in its art collections: portraits of Hessian princes and princesses as well as great portraits of relatives of the Prussian, English and Italian royal families.

"Orden auf königlichem Porzellan" (2013)
This special exhibition to mark the 250th anniversary of Königliche Porzellanmanufaktur Berlin focused on the "vom Eisernen Helm" ('Iron helmet') tableware service manufactured especially for the Elector of Hesse, and KPM's military commander china.
Exhibition accompanied by a catalogue.

"Von Meissen nach Hessen - Tafelzier aus 300-jähriger Tradition" (2010)
To mark 300 years of porcelain manufacture in Europe, Schloss Fasanerie museum showed its collection of precious Meissen porcelain figurines and pieces of tableware services.

"Fürstenkinder - Porträts vom 16. bis 21. Jahrhundert im Hause Hessen" (2008/2009)
With more than 100 paintings and drawings, the exhibition in the "Badehaus" at Schloss Fasanerie spanned over six centuries of portraits of children belonging to the House of Hesse dynasty.
